Letter 1  from Emil Ochsner to his brother Oscar

11/13/1934

Dear brother,

I was a little slow in answering your sweet letter. As I see you’re now at your loved ones in Kannoro (Kenmore, NY)

for the winter, I wished you could come and visit with us for a few weeks, as it is not that far from us.

I was so sorry not to be able to stay with you a little longer , there are so many things I would have liked to discuss

 with you.

2)

I do hope I will have more time next time. How are you and yours, I hope all is well.

I was not 100% either lately, but now things are better.Visited Gottfried Baumann,

he asked about you and sends his greetings.I hope you received the book

and also that I will be able to come for a short visit, there where you are now,

I haven’t seen Martha for so long,I wonder whether I would recognize her.

3)

I’m alone lately because mother (his wife ) is in the country visiting the 2 boys,

there is always so much to repair and then it’s always good to have Mother.

And so, no offense and until next time – greet Sara and all the others

but especially YOU, your brother Emil.
